Frankel Tutors Reopens for Classroom-based Classes

Dear Parents/Students,

It has already been more than 2 weeks since Singapore allowed tuition centres to reopen classroom-based classes, albeit with social distancing measures in place. Frankel has been using the time to watch the ground and to put in place the required social distancing measures. As such we shall reopen for classroom-based classes on Monday, 13 July.

With clusters still infecting the community daily, our parents are right to still be worried, especially since Frankel is basically a small enclosed air-conditioned space. As such, we are going for hybrid online-classroom classes at Frankel.

  1. Students who have indicated previously that they intend to continue online shall continue to learn from our virtual classroom. Our teachers shall continue to log in to the virtual classroom and teach from the Frankel classrooms.
  2. Students who have indicated their preference to be at the classroom shall come to the classroom. Our teachers shall teach them from the classroom while logged on to the virtual classroom.

Please note that students who come for lessons at our classrooms are required to put on a face mask (primary school students may put on a face shield). Our teachers shall teach with a face shield or face mask on.

All of us shall perform a contactless temperature check on our newly-installed BioTemp attendance system, linked to the Safe Entry nation-wide tracking system, upon entry.

Due to the social distancing measures required, some of your classes may be rescheduled by 15-30 minutes earlier or later. Our admin shall inform you of this in a separate message.

Again due to the social distancing measures required, please observe the following.

  1. If you have already indicated your preference to be online previously, please do not come to the centre. We have very limited space and cannot accommodate everybody.
  2. If you have already indicated your preference to be at the centre, please let our admin know a day ahead if you are not coming for lessons for any reason. This shall enable our teachers to decide to teach from home for their safety, if all remaining students in that class are online.

The hybrid classes shall continue until the end of the academic year, whereupon we shall assess the way to continue the next academic year.

We are grateful to our parents for the support you have given to us during these difficult times. Frankel Tutors have been around since 1996, and we shall continue to serve the community with good quality tuition.

Regards.
